Every once in awhile I crave a good courtroom drama, one you can really sink your teeth into. Luckily, Judge Stone (published in March) was exactly what I needed. The story follows Mary Stone, a judge in Alabama who presides over a volatile case involving a doctor who is on trial for performing an abortion for a local teenager. The tension was high in this novel, with a quick paced storyline that made the story fly by. I listened to the audiobook on Libro.fm, narrated by Viola herself. The actresses deep, soulful voice was a great addition to the story.
